WreckMaster since: 1997

WM ID: 97929

Kurt Wilson is a first generation tower who got his start in the towing industry while working in a body shop during high school. He would later get the opportunity to work for International Towing & Recovery Hall of Fame inductree Ron Matthews. The environment helped build a strong foundation for the fundamentals of the towing and recovery world for Kurt.
From there, Kurt went to work for a car dealership, which had a towing division. This lead to him taking his first WreckMaster course in the fall of 1997. Kurt eventually returned to the towing industry, becoming a key part of the team with his former company. Over the next several years, he honed his skills as an operator. In 2008, Kurt made the trip Fayetteville, North Carolina to attend a WreckMaster Weeklong couse. This lead to a job opportunity as manager for a remote location owned by International Towing & Recovery Hall of Fame inductee Joe Pedigo. Kurt continued to build his skillset and began assisting as a field instructor for WreckMaster. In 2015, Kurt would become a Lead Instructor with WreckMaster.
Kurt believes the WreckMaster’s guiding principles provide a solid discipline for operators to follow to not only make their job more efficient and safer but as well in their day to day life.
